OLHSA’s Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a high quality free preschool program for four- year-old children in the Oakland County area. The program is funded through the Michigan Department of Education’s GSRP grant. Children in the program attend schools three hours a day Monday through Thursday with limited full day classes. The ratio of adult and children in each classroom is 1:8, which exceeds licensing standards and, ensures maximum interaction between adults and children. The lead teacher has a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate and Early Childhood Endorsement. The assistant teacher has a minimum CDA or Associates Degree in Child Development.
