*As you no doubt know, it’s all going down this weekend in LA at the BET Experience. One of the many events where the stars turn up is the annual celebrity basketball game. And this year, Nicki Minaj and her man, Meek Mill brought fans to their feet and the game to a halt when they stepped onto the court. The couple, which is rumored to be expecting their first child together, were very flirtatious during the game and appeared to be in great spirits, according to HipHollywood. As far as the game was concerned, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson revealed that the winning team got a great pep talk from coach Snoop Dogg.
“He was like we can have fun, but in the end, we don’t want to be the team no taking pictures, not holding the medals.”
During the Experience, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, fans were also treated to great music, entertainment and discussion panels. Karrueche Tran, Quincy Brown and Brandon T. Jackson discussed their skyrocketing careers in one session. And in another, Janelle Monae and Erica Badu discussed their love for music and natural hair. “I find that our hair can do so much when it’s natural,” Monae explained. “It’s more flexible to me when I can be me.”

Badu added, “It’s a political statement. It’s powerful and I like to keep that as a part of my doctrine .”
Equality also happens to fall under Badu’s doctrine, which is perfectly parallel with the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on the legalization of same sex-marriage nationwide. “I just feel people should love who they want. Express it however they want. I think people can love who they want to love, wherever they want to love them and how they want to love them,” Erykah told us exclusively.
Oh yeah, speaking of Nicki Minaj, there are reports that her used-to-be boo, Safaree Samuels was banned from the BET Experience red carpet. True or not, vented on social media:
