Natural Cures That May Be Illegal

The Internet provides a wealth of health information and research for the health conscious person or someone needing to research a health issue.

A great deal of research on natural medicine has revealed significant health benefits, but is seldom reported in mainstream media.  Research on natural medicine takes place all over the world, at universities, major hospitals, and non-profit research labs.   The study results are usually reported in specialty newsletters, industry publications, health magazines, books, the Internet and medical seminars.

Laws On Promoting Natural Treatments

It is illegal to pursue a patent on a natural substance.  Additionally, it is a violation of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations to diagnose, offer to treat, mitigate, cure or to prevent any disease with anything other than an FDA approved drug or medical procedure.

The FDA outlaws sellers from making any reference to scientific studies relating to the health effects of any foods or supplements.  As a result, there is very little monetary incentive to promote any natural product or medical procedure that is not approved by the FDA and protected by the U.S. Patent Office.

Promoting Cheerios and oatmeal for lowering cholesterol, cherry juice to treat gout, etc. can be considered as an illegal health claim and in violation of FDA rules. The topics are a few examples of the thousands of research studies published every day.

Natural Cures

Nutrients are not normally a part of conventional medical treatments. In 1946, Dr. Knapp published a paper on the “Eye as a Guide to Latent Nutritional Deficiencies” where he described his observations and treatment of Navy personnel in the South Pacific.  Dr. Knapp discovered that patients suffering from severe myopia responded positively to treatment with vitamin D and calcium.   Along with poor vision, vitamin D deficiency has been implicated in over 22 forms of cancer, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, diabetes, depression, gum disease and a host of other health abnormalities.

Gallstones

Over 500,000 people a yearhad their gallbladders surgically removed last year.   In the ’60s and ’70s, Dr. James C. Breneman, of The American College of Allergists,  published his research on how to prevent a gallbladder attacks and eliminate the need for surgery.    While a gallbladder attack is extremely painful, it is not life threatening and can be treated naturally.

Dr. Breneman developed a treatment to prevent gallbladder attacks by doing what the hospitals do and that is to eliminate all offending foods and put you on IV fluids.  Don’t eat or drink for 24 hours, or until the first wave of attacks is over.   Begin with a glass of water; perhaps fruit juice, a slice of melon or banana.  If the attack does not flare up you may be ok.  If the pain does come back then try the following procedure: Purchase a half of liter of pure extra virgin olive oil.

Next, extract the juice from 8 medium size lemons.  Begin the process at 6 pm in the evening, by taking 4 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of pure lemon juice every 15 minutes, until you have consumed all of the olive oil.  Once the olive oil is consumed drink the remaining lemon juice.   The purpose of the lemon juice is to settle the oil and prevent nausea.  The stones should be passed through normal bowel movements over the next 24 to 48 hours.

Diabetes

Scandinavian researchers at Lund University Hospital in Sweden along with the University of Copenhagen determined that type 1 diabetics between the ages of 10 and 22 with higher levels of vitamin C have better vascular function than those with lower levels.   Vascular problems can occur earlier in life and cause greater risk of heart disease and death in later life.

The Prostate

Researchers at Louisiana State University conducted a study on 26 men ages 41 to 72 scheduled for prostate removal surgery.  For 35 days, up to one day prior to surgery, each man took 4 capsules of Polyphenon E. They found that serum levels of PSA were reduced by as much as 30 percent.  A corresponding clinical trail also took place in Italy.  Of course, a lot more research as to be done but maybe this one of the reasons Asian men have less prostate cancer.

Consult a medical professional before self treating  any illness.
