It features a secluded shampoo room, with equipment geared toward saving gallons of water a day. The open-plan color bar will allow clients to witness the alchemy of color formulations to intrigue and inspire experimentation with their natural color. It also boasts experts on hair health and uses the latest equipment, geared toward saving gallons of water a day.
For the busy, professional, the Sway’d concierge center provides access to a printer, fax machine and copier as well as complimentary Wi-Fi, creating a mobile office for those squeezing in beauty procedures between meetings.
“I anticipate Sway’d being more than a place to get your hair and nails done,” said Dez Santiago, founder of Sway’d. “I see it being an all-inclusive beauty and grooming destination and also a spot where people come to hang out, have fun and network.”
Along with the media center for Birmingham’s busiest employees and visitors, the salon, will showcase several other unique offerings. The Therapy Den offers massage therapy, spa manicure and pedicure alcoves, and ancillary beauty services such as eyebrow shaping, eyelash extensions, scalp massages and vaporized biotin scalp treatments.
Sway’d has also “gone green” and will use low-impact hair dryers that produce half the emissions of traditional models, recycling of hair clippings and acetone-free nail polish remover. All transactions, including appointment bookings and payments, will be paperless. Additionally, the Retail Station will stock a variety of products for sale, including all natural Biotin-based vitamins and tropical products that promote healthier hair and hair growth.
Sway’d stylists will present individualized attention to cutting and styling, coloring, extension installation and removal and specialized hair spa treatments, including biotin hair injections aligned with the practices of certified specialist Dr. Grace Patterson, founding partner of Business Hair Solutions LLC.
The multi-concept space is nestled in the affluent and charming setting of downtown Birmingham at 600 North Old Woodward, Suite 101.
