Michigan Chronicle hosted its annual client appreciation reception last night at the Detroit Athletic Club. It was great time to reflect on the past year and celebrate all that the Chronicle has been able to accomplish thanks to the support of our valued sponsors. From the four forums of Pancakes & Politics to the Men and Women of Excellence Awards and our signature Legacy in Motion gala, last evening’s reception was our way of thanking sponsors and advertisers for choosing the Michigan Chronicle to promote their business and build their brand locally.

The intimate reception welcomed over 50 clients and partners. Top supporters included General Motors, Starr Commonwealth, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Comerica, Fifth Third bank, Charles H. Wright Museum, Professional Medical Centers, and Detroit Medical Center were in attendance.

The evening brought a testimonial from Ric DeVore, president of PNC Bank, who committed to being the presenting sponsor for the 2015 Pancakes & Politics speakers series. Board members of Michigan Chronicle parent company, Real Times Media—Gordon Follmer, Alex Parrish, and O’Neil Swanson—also came to show their support.

Our year-in-review was a bevy of highlights which showcased the success of our events throughout the year. 2014 has seen the Michigan Chronicle host top decision makers at our Pancakes & Politics forums, honor more than 200 of this region’s most accomplished and influential professionals via our various awards programs, present noted political analyst, Donna Brazile as keynote for our Women of Excellence Awards; and Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Roy Roberts with the Lifetime Achievement for their continued commitment to make Detroit a thriving city of opportunity.

The Michigan Chronicle has been busy uplifting the residents that are here to make a positive difference in Detroit and look forward to continuing that mission in 2015.
