McDonald’s has announced that for the first time in 55 years, the famous Big Mac’s secret sauce will be available in limited dipping cups across the United States. Starting April 27, fans of the iconic burger can get their hands on the sauce, while supplies last, exclusively via the McDonald’s app.
The tangy and slightly sweet sauce that made the Big Mac famous is perfect for dipping fries and Chicken McNuggets, or even making your Egg McMuffin extra saucy. The sauce will come in retro blue and silver packaging inspired by the original Big Mac wrapping paper from when the sandwich was first invented in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1968.
Since its inception, the Big Mac has only gained popularity, expanding to menus across the globe. In 2017, McDonald’s caused a social media craze when 10,000 bottles of Big Mac sauce were given away in the U.S.
Cups of Big Mac sauce will be available at no extra charge with any purchase of Chicken McNuggets. The sauce can also be ordered a la carte to pair with all of your favorite McDonald’s menu items.
