Loretha "Lady T" Tobar CD release and Detroit Blues Society fundraiser

 
poster-final Date: On Sunday November 20, 2016 the Detroit Blues Society will host their annual fundraiser event. This year Detroit Blues Legends will feature the music of Loretha ” Lady T” Tobar’s new blues/soul CD “Life’s Been Leaning On Me”, a Detroit blues super group, soul food and more.
Place, time & cost : Detroit Blues Legends will take place at the Hasting Street Ballroom / Tangent Art Gallery at 715 East Milwaukee Ave, Detroit Mi. 48202 from 6-10PM. The cost of the event is $20.00 at the door. TX available at www.detroitbluessociety.org. The Hasting Street ballroom is a unique industrial space in Detroit’s historical theatre district with a full cash bar and $5.00 secured parking.
Event Details : Detroit blues lovers, mark your calendars for Sunday November 20, 2016! That’s the day Detroit’s first princess of the blues Loretha “Lady T” Toba will perform and officially release the music from her new horn driven blues/soul CD, “Life’s Been Leaning On Me”. Featuring for one night only – Detroit Blues Legends, a handpicked 7- piece super group made up of some of Detroit’s most beloved blues sidemen. Brett Lucas (of Thornetta Davis) – guitar, Keith Kaminski of (The Motor City Horns)- saxophone, Darryl Pearse of (Bettye Lavette) – drums, John Douglas on trumpet and more. Detroit Blues Legends will be emceed by former, long time blues radio host of 94.7 WCSX, Mark Pasman. Supporting acts of Detroit Blues Legends  include  rock & roll hall of fame inductee Billy Davis and his band and electric delta from Detroit’s own international recording artist Harmonica Shah featuring Howard Glazer. Other attractions are freedom dancer Sarah Woodman, A Ghost Gallery featuring photo’s of beloved past Detroit Blues Legends Alberta Adams, Johnnie Bassett, Willie D. Warren and more, Dave’s Soul Food will provide barbeque finger foods and Loretha Tobar CD’s and official DBS merchandise available.
Detroit Blues Society (31 years) : Committed to the preservation of the blues art from through education, awareness and events. The Detroit Blues Society received awards of recognition from the State of Michigan, The County of Wayne and the City of Detroit in 2015 for the 2015 production of Blues Girls Of Summer and the crowning ceremony of Thornetta Davis.
