Skymint, Michigan’s leading premium cannabis retailer, celebrates the opening of the company’s first Metro Detroit dispensary.
The highly anticipated opening of Skymint Hazel Park marks the company’s tenth dispensary in the state, which is open to serve recreational adult-use customers beginning Thursday, July 30. Located just north of 8 Mile Road on John R. Road, Skymint Hazel Park will be one of the closest recreationally licensed dispensaries to downtown Detroit. To celebrate, from opening day through Wednesday, August 5, every visitor will receive 40% off their full order. Skymint co-founder and chief executive officer Jeff Radway made the announcement.
Since Skymint’s first Michigan retail launch in 2019, the best-in-class dispensary brand has rapidly expanded its presence throughout the state, bringing residents increased access to the best product portfolio and Michigan-grown cannabis flower available. Designed by former Urban Outfitters North America Visual Director Summer Ransom-Cleveland, the stores’ unique open-space retail concept encourages exploration, interaction, and education so that visitors have an opportunity to learn about how cannabis can be a vital resource in creating life-changing experiences.
Skymint’s commitment to social equity has earned the brand a dedicated following of loyal brand zealots around the state. Such efforts include financial support for decriminalization and legalization ballot initiatives, as well as release and life rebuilding efforts for nonviolent cannabis offenders.
“Detroit is such an important place in the history of culture and civil liberties in our country,” Radway said. “Skymint Hazel Park will be a platform for us to continue pouring our hearts and energy into social movements we believe in, from federal legalization, decriminalization and expungement to the evolution of the city as an environment for new and thought-provoking arts and music.”
