Sponsors for the Great Lakes State Fair Continue to Grow The Great Lakes State Fair (former State Fair), returning to Michigan after a three-year hiatus, will feature Pure Michigan products and a focus on enhancing the “Quality of Life” over its traditional Labor Day weekend run, according to organizers. The Fair, which hopes to drive renewed interest from sponsors and volunteers, will remain a family-focused event featuring animals, agriculture, Michigan-made products exhibits, in addition to live entertainment, a midway and carnival rides.

The Detroit Shrine Circus will also perform under The Big Top, with tickets included in the all-inclusive admission price Ed Deeb, chairman and founder of the Michigan Food and Beverage Association and co-founder of the “Friends of the Fair” organization, is among this year’s supporters. “In three years, I think that this (FAIR) has potential to be bigger than the Michigan State Fair because of the location,” said Deeb.

Other 2012 sponsors include Meijer, Michigan Ear Institute, Axis Cross Media, ITC Holdings, Suburban Collection Showplace, Genisys Credit Union, C.F. Burger Creamery, Powers Distributing, Infinity Primary Care, Leisure Works, Greening Detroit, Corp! Magazine, All Seasons Communications, Metro Sanitation, Absopure Water Company, AIS Construction Equipment and Oakland County Farm Bureau.
