Terrence M. Hicks is a driven successful community relations and workforce strategist. He has over 15 years of experience in the corporate, non-profit, education and public sectors.

Terrence’s career began in the corporate world at the Ford Motor Company Fund. Hicks co-managed a $5m budget, and managed more than 20 non-profit organizations.
For Metro Strategies, Terrence focuses his work on new paradigms that enable local, minority businesses to participate in large infrastructure projects.
Terrence also headed the MDOT’s Office of Business Development where he developed and implemented some of Michigan’s most creative and innovative policies to ensure the inclusion of small, local-based businesses.
Hicks served as past president (2010-2012), Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) Michigan Chapter where his leadership earned them the 2011 COMTO Emerging Chapter of the Year.
As a significant pillar of his business, Hicks was one of the first to obtain the Part 107 Unmanned Airial Vehicle (Drone) pilot’s license. In 2021, Hicks was appointed to the Aviation Rules Committee (ARC) Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) rules recommendation team.
