Dr. Shekitra Green

Dr. Shekitra Green is the Principal of Fisher Magnet Lower Academy (Detroit Public Schools Community District).  She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University, a Master of Education, a Master of Arts both from Marygrove College and a Doctor of Education from Walden University. 

Dr. Green has over 20 years of experience working in the field of education and throughout that time she has developed a passion for improving academics, transforming culture, community partnership, and building excellent talent. 

She is the founder of F2A Math Center, a nonprofit math tutoring entity implementing learning techniques that will aide K12 students to increase proficiency at all levels of mathematics.
Having a passion for service, Dr. Green has served on the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People’s Executive Board as Assistant Secretary, Secretary and Board Member for over 20 years, member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, mentor with Portable Educational and Entertainment Repertoire (PEER) and mentor to Fellowship Chapel’s Girl Scouts.  Dr. Green is a devoted wife to Phillip and loving mother to Artlan, Artirah, and Artrail.
