Dion’trae Hayes

Dion’trae Hayes is Supervisor of the Charter Township of Lansing. A member of Tabernacle of David Church, she is a fierce advocate for the underserved. A few of her passion projects include providing vital resources to those in need, establishing early childhood literacy programs for children ages 0-6 and creating free community events that combine cultural education and entertainment. Supervisor Hayes is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. She currently serves on the boards of the Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA), Central Michigan University’s Master of Public Administration Program and as Chief Financial Officer for nonprofit Jackson Doll Production. Her love of people and passion for building vibrant communities led her to create Community First, a family-centered program geared towards improving wellness through recreation. A native Detroiter, she completed her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, earned a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University, is a 2011 Fellow of the Michigan Political Leadership Program, 2016 Alumna of the White House Project and 2016 Fellow of the University of Michigan’s Center for Healthcare Research and Transformation Policy Fellowship.
