EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERISTY FOUNDATION
The EMU Foundation is seeking an experienced, energetic and motivated individual to join its development staff to solicit major gifts for Eastern Michigan University’s College of Health and Human Services.
Responsibilities include:
Managing a portfolio of 150 major gift prospects for solicitation.
Working with the College Dean and faculty to cultivate, solicit and steward major gift donors.
Strengthen the units’ volunteer network for the purpose of increasing financial support.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge and skills in development, marketing or public relations and demonstrated ability to work effectively with donors and prospects.
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in development, marketing or communications.
- Knowledge of healthcare related fields desired.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Experience in a non-profit or University setting preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required in related field.
- Ability to manage an irregular work schedule including occasional evenings, early mornings, and weekends. May involve use of personal transportation to travel throughout southeastern Michigan.
