COGIC 2024 Bishops’ Conference in Detroit: Empowering Christian Leaders

The 2024 Bishops’ Conference of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. (COGIC) will take place in Detroit, MI, from September 16-19, gathering over 200 bishops from around the world. Led by Bishop Albert Galbraith, Chairman of the Board of Bishops, and Bishop Roger L. Jones Sr., Vice-Chairman and Conference Coordinator, the event focuses on equipping Christian leaders to address the challenges of the 21st century.


COGIC, the largest Pentecostal-Holiness denomination in the U.S. and present in over 60 nations, continues its mission to provide hope and guidance to communities worldwide. Bishop J. Drew Sheard, Presiding Bishop & Chief Apostle, will host the conference at Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ, located at 19190 Schaefer Hwy., Detroit.

While daytime sessions are reserved for bishops, the public is invited to attend evening worship services at 7 p.m. on September 16, 17, and 18. Featured speakers include Bishop Roger L. Jones Sr. on Monday, Bishop Albert Galbraith on Tuesday, and Bishop J. Drew Sheard on Wednesday.

The conference concludes with “The Chairman’s Banquet” on Thursday, September 19, at 6 p.m. at the Westin Southfield Detroit. Tickets are available by calling 313-864-7170.
