The city of Southfield will sponsor the 4th annual SumMore Fest on Wednesday, August 7 from 5-8:30 p.m. at the Southfield Municipal Complex front lawn, 26000 Evergreen Road.
This free community event will feature food, fun and entertainment for the whole family, including: a petting farm, nature area, inflatable playscapes (don’t forget socks), kite demonstrations, health fair, and a vintage baseball game featuring The Regular Base Ball Club of Mt. Clemens versus the Northville Eclipse.
Roz Puppets will perform a 45-minute show in the Southfield Public Library, 26300 Evergreen Road, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The “Dog Days of SumMore Fest” will return once again this year to offer a number of activities for man’s best friends and their owners, including demonstrations by the Disc Dogs of Michigan and the Southfield Police K9 Division along with reps from Premier Pet Supply and the Bingo Pet Salon to answer all your pet-related questions. Please bring your dog (on a leash) to enjoy all the fun activities together!
This is a free event open to the general public. Refreshments will be available for purchase. For more information, call the Southfield Parks and Recreation Department at (248) 796-4620.
