Legendary lyricist MC Lyte to perform live at DRIVEN afterparty

Real Times Media and Who’s Who Publishing are proud to announce that rap pioneer MC Lyte will be in the building for the DRIVEN book unveiling after party on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the Garden Theater in Midtown Detroit. Best known as one of the original female rappers, MC Lyte will not only perform a few of her biggest hits but will serve as the official DJ for the event.
Launched in 2011, DRIVEN is celebration of multicultural achievement in the automotive industry. Initially conceived to highlight the accomplishments of trailblazing African Americans in the industry, the program has since expanded to include multi-ethnic features. Now in its fifth edition, DRIVEN celebrates the contributions and success stories of various minority groups within the automotive industry alongside the African-American content the readers have come to expect.
Unveiled each year during year Detroit’s autoshow season, DRIVEN is a national event which draws professionals from around the country and attracts the “who’s who” of automotive executives, civic, business and community leaders who use the publication as an information and reference tool.
