Detroit police responded to a public charter school on the city’s far westside that had apparently been targeted by a bomb threat.
The situation unfolded around 11:30 a.m. Friday at Madison Carver Academy, a Cornerstone School on McInytre Street.
Officials say they responded to the school after receiving a report about someone walking into the location with a bomb.
Fire crews and EMS units are standing by, police said, and students and staff have been evacuated from the building.
An investigation is ongoing.
