ATLANTA — Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, was rushed to the hospital over the weekend after suffering an asthma attack while in town for an awards show.
Knowles Lawson, 61, was accompanied to the ATL by her husband, actor Richard Lawson (Poltergeist), for an awards show when she experienced the medical crisis.
“I came to Atlanta with my hubby for an award show,” she told fans on Instagram Saturday. “I had an asthma attack and wound up in a hospital here. Hope to be out tomorrow!! Pray for me!”
Lawson was treated and released the following day. She provided fans with an update on Sunday after she was discharged.
“Happy Day!! Getting out of Hospital on my way to the airport to go home Thanks for the prayers!!!!” she shared.
