*Beyoncé has inspired many men and women in various ways but now, the singer is serving as inspiration for a 68 story skyscraper in Melbourne, Australia.
In a statement issued by the Australian architecture studio Elenberg Fraser, the company confessed that it actually took a cue from a certain Beyoncé’ video to create the buiding known as the Premiere Tower.
“For those more on the art than science side, we will reveal that the form does pay homage to something more aesthetic,” the architects said. “We’re going to trust you’ve seen the music video for Beyoncé’s ‘Ghost.’”
Beyonce-Inspired-Premiere-Tower_Elenberg-Fraser_dezeen_784_8TheGrio.com notes that despite the skyscraper not being named after Beyoncé, the structure will exhibit plenty of curves like the “7/11” vocalist and it will even move. In addition, the site pointed out that he building’s “interesting and intricate” design was optimized with “parametric modeling and computer-aided algorithms.”
While Bey’s influence is present in the Premier Tower, Elenberg Fraser maintains the office tower is also efficient and functional.
“The complex form – a vertical cantilever – is actually the most effective way to redistribute the building’s mass, giving the best results in terms of structural dispersion, frequency oscillation and wind requirements,” the company stated as it noted that the building could also respond to the weather.
