Bellis Therapeutic Spa Provides Relaxation for Parents of In-Patients at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan DMC

bellisBellis Therapeutic Spa and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan are working together Thursday, Feb. 26 to give parents of sick and terminally ill children some much needed relaxation and pampering. Bellis Therapeutic Spa owner Brandi Ellis and her team have worked with organizations to give back but “not like this,” she says. “We are bringing the Bellis experience to these parents and caregivers.” It’s important that she and her staff use their skilled hands and talent to let families know their efforts have not gone unrecognized.
The Spa will provide massages, facials and refreshments from 10am -1pm at no cost. Ellis and a handful of her staff will set up massage tables and chairs to provide the services. Ellis who’s lost her own brother and takes care of an aging parent understands the amount of stress parents are under. “Between being a wife, mom and business owner I have to be there for my dad. Time is limited and stressful… I just pray that what we do will help.”
Located in the heart of downtown Farmington, Bellis Therapeutic Spa takes on the traditional as well as holistic approach to their services. Ellis’ view, she says is simple, “The Children’s Hospital of Michigan understands the science behind holistic healing and having faith along with science of medicine gives people a greater chance at a happy healthy life.”
