And The Winners Are….

Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero defeated House Speaker Andy Dillon after coming from well behind in the Democratic primary, winning the bid for Governor.

Winning the Republic nomination for Governor was Ann Arbor businessman, Rick Synder who was trailed by Pete Hoekstra and Attorney General Mike Cox.

Bernero and Synder will face off for the Nov. 2 elections.

Senator Hansen Clarke won the Democratic nomination for the 13th District Congressional seat over U.S. Representative Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick. According to reports, Clarke received 48 percent of the votes, an 8 percent margin over Kilpatrick.

Clarke will face Republican businessman John Hauler who ran unopposed for the Congressional seat, also in November.
