Haily Dominguez (pictured) is listed in critical but stable condition. The bullet pierced her lung. “It passed through her stomach — thank God it missed her spine,” said Edwin Roman, 23, the boyfriend of Hailey’s 34-year-old mother, Gloria Miranda.
Angel Morales, 18, was arrested for the shooting. Morales was firing at a group of people when Dominguez was shot. Her family was the intended target.

The Daily News has more:
Hailey, her mom and 8-year-old brother had just stepped out of the cab they took from a family friend’s baby shower when shots rang out.
“She was dancing at the party. She had a little dress on,” said Roman.
“She likes to dance — she’s a little ballerina.”
Hailey was taken to nearby St. Barnabas Hospital and later moved to Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in Washington Heights.
She is in a medically induced coma in the intensive care unit and fighting a fever, her frightened family said Sunday morning, but her condition is stable.
“She’s a strong girl,” Roman said. “I’ve been taking care of her since she was 2.”
Hailey’s mother collapsed and was admitted to St. Barnabas, Roman said.
“She had an anxiety attack,” he said. “She’s just so anxious to see the baby.”
Morales was charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon. “I don’t know why this happened,” the victim’s father, Jonathan Dominguez told the Daily News. “She’s going to be okay — thank God.”
