The IMPACT Day program is a 2-part, daylong of activities designed to educate, inform and empower youth (during the morning).  The evening phase of the IMPACT Day program will focus on adult finances, credit repair, debt repair, home ownership and more.
Students will learn basic fundamental financial principals such as budgeting and banking. Students will also visit the Junior Achievement Finance Park and open bank accounts.
“Economic Development is one of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s five programmatic thrusts, and we are thrilled to partner with Fifth Third Bank on this IMPACT Day initiative, which helps cultivate the financial trajectory of our youth, ,” says Deborah Hunter-Harvill, IMPACT Day chair.  “Self-determination is one of the most significant accomplishments an individual can make in their life; and early financial literacy and early financial education starting with our youth can help direct these students’ path,” says Hunter-Harvill.
