After nearly 3 years, AutoGlow, presented by Ford Motor Company, returned on Friday September 16 to raise funds for The Children’s Center. Nearly 600 guests enjoyed a reimagined event at Ford Field in Detroit following Charity Preview.
“This year’s AutoGlow was a wonderful way to celebrate and support the work we do for the 3,500-plus children and their families,” said Debora Matthews, President, and CEO of the Children’s Center. “We are tremendously grateful to those who purchased tickets or sponsored as those funds allow us to continue providing quality care that helps children overcome some of the most difficult circumstances.”
AutoGlow was hosted by Lisa and Bill Ford and Lia and Jim Farley of Ford Motor Company. The Ford family has continually supported The Children’s Center since it was founded in 1929. Ford Motor Company has served as Presenting Sponsor of AutoGlow since its inception.
This year’s AutoGlow was entitled “Imagine with Me” and guests were entranced by the festive atmosphere and the new outdoor spaces many had never experienced at Ford Field. Sponsors responded with enthusiasm. Joining Presenting Sponsor Ford Motor Company were Dream Sponsors Oakley Industries and Piston Group and Spark Sponsor Mutual of America. Several new companies joined as sponsors including Axalta, Jared Goff and JG16, and The Diez Group.
Thanks to the generosity of Delta Air Lines, raffle winning guests took home travel vouchers for flights. Others bid on original artwork created on site that night by Detroit artist Trae IsAAc who also provided the opportunity for guests to paint with him. Guests enjoyed Nuclassica featuring Miss Michigan Melissa Baynard on violin and danced to DJ Prevu.
Joining these sponsors were Venue Sponsor Ford Field, Exclusive Magazine Sponsor HOUR Magazine, and in-kind Food & Beverage Sponsor Levy Restaurants.
