Detroit PAL Hosts Corporate Baseball Challenge for Youth Sports

DETROIT — Detroit PAL Corporate Baseball Challenge took place at Detroit PAL’s Corner Ballpark.

Funds raised benefit Detroit PAL’s Diamond Sports programs. Teams participated in hitting, pitching and running challenges. Each team had a Detroit Police Officer play with them on the field as well.

“We hit our goal of $30,000 achieved for this year,” said Fred Hunter, Acting CEO, Detroit PAL. “We want to eventually make this a a 2-day event, or may4-day. Corporations contribute, select teams have fun …we serve over 10,000 kids every year and 4,000 alumni. But for us, it’s about kids that are playing now. Whether it be in baseball or the professional world, we’re excited about helping youth find their greatness.”

Teams participating this year, include:

1.           Ernst & Young (2021 Champ)

2.           Delta Dental of Michigan

3.           DADA (Detroit Auto Dealers Association)

4.           Marathon Petroleum

5.           BridgeWater Interiors

6.           GM Financial
