Wayne County Launches First Career Service Day

The Wayne County Department of Personnel/Human Resources is coordinating the first annual Wayne
County Career and Service Day, scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15 at Campus Martius Park in
Downtown Detroit.

Various Wayne County Departments and Elected Offices such as, the Office of the Count Clerk and
Department of Health, Human & Veteran Services will be onsite to discuss numerous employment opportunities.

Additionally, Wayne County resident services will be available and free to the public including; COVID-19 Vaccinations
and Screening, Emergency Rental Assistance, Free Gun Locks and more.

Wayne County is looking to fill nearly 300 job opportunities. The event will offer onsite interviews, onsite conditional job
offers, and onsite testing for positions. Candidates interested in testing for positions will also have the option of virtual
testing at their convenience.

Open positions include:

  • Accountant
  • Assistant Prosecuting Attorney (1-3)
  • Cashier
  • Clerical Specialist
  • Court Clerk
  • Electrician
  • Hearing & Vision Technician
  • Laborer
  • Police Officer
  • Juvenile Detention Specialist

All positions are open to the general public, based on qualifications. Applicants should have a valid driver’s license, three professional references and their most recent education transcripts (if applicable) when attending the job fair.
