International Recording Artist Apropos & His Live Band Return to Willis Show Bar on May 12th
International recording artist and Detroit native Apropos is coming back to his old stomping ground.
Apropos will return to Willis Show Bar at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 12. The show will feature the debut live performance of his upcoming new release Spiritual Surgery.
Guests will enjoy a wide selection of custom cocktails and refreshments to accompany an electric, yet intimate, liv performance from acclaimed recording artist Apropos. In March, a sold-out Willis Show Bar crowd witnessed Apropos’ return to the live stage after a hiatus caused by the Coronavirus pandemic. The upcoming already-sold-out show will showcase “surround” sound as Apropos and two bandmates will take Willis’ distinctive center stage (raised directly behind the bar), while accompanied by additional bandmates on a second side stage.
Apropos is a genre-defying, singer-songwriter has been seen and heard across the world on shows such as NBC’s The Voice and Elton John’s Rocket Hour. The veritable vocalist recently had several high-profile features on tracks from indie music “darlings” such as Jon Connor, ZelooperZ, Bruiser Wolf, Kid Vishis and DJ Holographic.
Recently, Pitchfork (“The Most Trusted Voice in Music”) described Apropos’ “slick hook” on the ZelooperZ song 2020 as their “favorite part” of a new release they anointed as “The must-hear rap song of the day.”
