Finding your mom tribe doesn’t have to be a chore — especially for Black moms looking to find other Black mothers to create meaningful relationships with.
According to Kijiji, this can be done because after all as they say, “It truly takes a village to raise a child. But building it can be daunting, especially during the pandemic.”
Now, a free social-media platform, Kijiji Moms! (Swahili for village) is looking to help moms who with the online community built by none other than Black moms, according to its website.
Leigh Butler, a mom of three and the app’s co-founder, is on passionate about developing a space where Black moms are not just “represented” through stock photos but foundational to the app’s mission and service, according to the founder’s statement.
Kijiji Moms is currently in private beta, and they’re inviting our community to help them test the app’s features and give valuable feedback and suggestions.
The app is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Once the app is download, enter your email address or phone number and a verification code will be sent to the contact entered. Then use invite code (8261) and start growing your mom village today.
