Kristen is a natural leader and born communicator. As the Chief of Staff for Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD), she has been tasked with revitalizing and restarting core bodies of work. She leads the district’s marketing, enrollment, lobbying, government affairs and community engagement efforts, Board relations, policy development, equity and civil rights compliance and training, and employee misconduct and investigations teams. In every instance, Kristen will find a path to get things done – even when that means creating new paths.
As an experienced turnaround professional, her work focuses on rebuilding systems and processes. Kristen is an outgoing, team player and loves recruiting and developing talent. Prior to joining DPSCD, Kristen started her career as financial restructuring attorney at a major corporate law firm in Washington, D.C. and continued that work locally, at Clark Hill PLC.
