Detroit News Anchor, Evrod Cassimy Announces Second Album “Just Evrod”

Evrod Cassimy, Detroit TV News Anchor and Singer-Songwriter, announces his second album called “Just Evrod” with several special guests.

“Just Evrod” is a compilation of 10 R&B and pop tracks, featuring the two previously released singles “I’m Leaving” and “T.F.M.” all written and recorded by Cassimy at Get Fresh Studios in the heart of the Motor City.

“The first single from the album, “I’m Leaving,” is definitely a break-up song. I wrote this song for anyone going through a rough relationship, friendship or job to give them the courage to say I’m out. “T.F.M.” is important to me because we’ve all been hurt by someone who we thought we were close with but in the end that wasn’t the case.”

The album is incredibly personal and features several intimate moments in Cassimy’s life, with untold personal stories woven from powerful lyrics and Cassimy’s soulful voice.

“Mixed Part 2” and “The Queen” are two of those intimate moments on the album. The first includes Evrod’s wife and two son, while the second includes a moment where his friend, the late Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, sings him a special song for his birthday.

Appropriately titled “Just Evrod,” this new album proves just that. Through all of life’s ups and downs, Evrod just wants to be himself and let listeners further in to his real life. “I’m a husband, a father, a friend, a TV news anchor, a writer and so much more,” said Cassimy. “Writing has been a way for me to express the challenges that I experience in life and at the end of the day, I’m just me. I’m so excited for people to hear these new songs and listen along on this journey I’ve been on over the past year. There’s something here for everyone.”

“Just Evrod” will be available for download and streaming on all digital platforms on November 15, 2019. A new song from the album, “Fake,” is available now with each pre-order on iTunes and Google Play. Please visit www.EvrodCassimy.com for more info.
