Mom’s legacy shared at Mother’s Day brunches at Sweet Magnolia’s

Sweet Magnolia’s Southern Cooking is celebrating the Legacy of one special mom with two Mother’s Day Brunches on Sunday, May 13, 2018.

The restaurant itself, located at 29221 Northwestern Highway, in Southfield, Michigan, is a tribute to owner Carolyn Cannon’s Mom, Magnolia, who put as much love into her phenomenal Southern dishes, as she did her family, for decades in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

On Sunday, May 13, Sweet Magnolia’s will be offering moms a special treat with two Mother’s Day Brunches featuring some of Magnolia’s favorite heirloom Southern recipes!  The restaurant will offer an All-you-can-eat Brunch in their banquet room, adjacent to the restaurant, and an a la carte Brunch in the dining room. 

The Sweet Magnolia’s All-you-can-eat Mother’s Day Brunch will be a delicious buffet-style spread featuring some of Magnolia’s favorite Southern recipes including her signature Shrimp and Grits, Chicken and Waffles, Mac & Cheese, Pineapple Glazed Salmon and Biscuits and Gravy, along with Baked Chicken, Fried Catfish, Roasted Red Skin Potatoes, Collard Greens, Garlic Mixed Veggies, Fresh Omelets, Scrambled Eggs, Hash Browns, Bacon, Sausage Links, Turkey Patties, Mixed Green and Cold Pasta Salads, Fresh Fruit, Honey Buttered Rolls and a variety of Desserts and Beverages in a beautifully-decorated banquet room for $24.95.  Seating times for the All-you-can-eat Brunch are 11am-1pm, 1:30pm-3:30pm, and 4pm-6pm.

The a la carte Mother’s Day Brunch will be served in Sweet Magnolia’s dining room and will feature some of Magnolia’s heirloom authentic Southern dishes including her signature Gumbo, Fried Lobster Pasta, Smothered Pork Chops, Black-eyed Pea Fritters, Fried Green Tomatoes, Pineapple Glazed Salmon, Short Ribs, Collard Greens Salad, sweet and savory Chicken and Waffle Combinations, Peach Cobbler and Sweet Potato Pound Cake with Ice Cream.  The special brunch menu will also include Southern favorites like Baked Chicken, Wings, Liver and Onions, Oxtails, Black-eyed Pea Soup, Sweet and Sour Salmon Bites, and fresh Michigan Summer Salad.  The a la carte Brunch items will be available all day (11am-10pm) on Sunday May 13.
