WAYNE COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT TO HOST ANNUAL COMMUNITY LUNCHEON

The Wayne County Community College District (WCCCD’) Division of Student Services’ Student Executive Council will host its Annual Community Luncheon on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Under the banner, “Come Dine With Us,” the Fall Harvest themed luncheon will take place from Noon to 2:00 pm at the WCCCD’s Downtown Campus, located at 1001 West Fort Street in Detroit. This special community event is offered at no cost to attendees.
The Division of Student Services’ Student Executive Council; together with the WCCCD Wildcat Athletes, are honored to host this tradition program that brings together people. “We are also honored not only as an educational institution, but a place where people can come together in fellowship with one another,” said Brian Singleton, WCCCD’s Vice Chancellor for the Division of Student Services.
The Annual Community Luncheon has become a tradition as a way for the community to come together and break bread during the holiday season. The luncheon has drawn a capacity crowd over the years since its inception.
The Michigan Chronicle’s Senior Editor, Bankole Thompson, together with Detroit City Clerk Janice Winfrey will lead a host of volunteer servers at the occasion. “This is a great community service and the College should be commended for this,” Thompson said.
Other media volunteers include Vickie Thomas, WWJ Newsradio 950AM City Beat Reporter; Walter Middlebrook, Assistant Managing Editor of the Detroit News; and Osama Siblani, Publisher of the Arab American News.
