Ohio woman arrested for beheading her infant daughter

CINCINNATI — A southwest Ohio mother has been charged with murder after brutally decapitating her three-month-old daughter, law enforcement sources have said.
Deasia Watkins, from College Hill, Ohio, a Cincinnati suburb, was arrested for aggravated murder on Monday after she was found inside a home on Waldway Lane with her murdered child.
Police would only say baby Janiyah, who was born in December, was killed by ‘homicidal violence’, but sources told Cincinnati’s Fox19 the child’s head had been severed.
A group of children raised the alarm around 6am on Monday after finding Watkins with the baby’s body inside the home, WKRC reported. Her relation to the children is not known.
‘It was a lot of commotion going on out here this morning,’ neighbor Jimmie Graham said on Monday. ‘They had the crime tape up, and I figured when the crime tape was up, somebody got hurt or killed or something.
‘She must have been out of her mind. I heard she cut the baby’s head off.’
Watkins was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for a mental evaluation
