The Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) will begin new Customer Service Office hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday on October 1. The change in the hours is to provide enhanced reliability, efficiency and cost savings. The new office hours are replacing the current hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The decision for new hours developed as data was gathered for calls segmented by each hour between the 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. time period. The stats resulted in the majority of the calls registering between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. DDOT will oversee the performance of the new hours as well by making certain quality customer needs are being fully met and addressed.
